In October 2010, Linde Germany achieved accredited status to manufacture and supply calibration gas mixtures as ISO 17025 standards containing ppm levels of Nitrogen Dioxide in a balance of air. The extended accreditation scope covers a range of typical cylinder sizes from 10 to 40 litres and covers mixtures with guaranteed stability for up to 24 months at uncertaintly levels down to 2%.
The ISO 17025 accreditation was awarded and certified by DAkkS, the new German accreditation body. As part of the accrediation, the mixtures are traceable to the SI units of measure with analytical validation provided by the VSL in the Netherlands, one of the world's premier laboratories for gaseous reference materials.
These calibration gas mixtures are in demand for the measurement of air quality and control of gaseous emissions in applications where precision and traceability are required. The extension of the Linde accreditation scope to include ISO 17025 accrediation for Nitrogen Dioxide represents a significant step forward to offer a full solution to emissions testing in Europe and worldwide.
