Analytical methods
Chemical analysis is the science that with the help of chemical and physical methods can determine the qualitative and quantitative content of a given sample. Even though we might not consider it, chemical analysis is part of our everyday life, everything we eat, drink or administer in any other way have at least at some point been analysed. But this goes also beyond food stuff and pharmaceuticals, the emission from smoke stacks and car exhaust are commonly analysed as well as the feed streams in chemical plants and evidence in forensic science to just mention some additional examples. In the following pages some examples of different analysis methods are described.
