Biological growth control

In modern biotech the cultivation of bacterias is a common practice. In order to do this it is of importance to have a controlled atmosphere, that supports the process. When growing aerobe organisms the ambient atmosphere is based on oxygen or air and when anaerobe organisms are cultivated the atmospheres are based on nitrogen or carbon dioxide. Both types usually have a carbon source for maximizing the growth. A different type of growth control is the sterilizing mixtures used for the opposite purpose, to get rid of all organisms.

Linde has a wide variety of products in the HiQ® specialty gas program that support this field. There are products for anaerobe organisms and aerobe organisms as well as the elimination of both. For more information vist our catalog for the chemical field.
