The Gasworld February issue published an article from Linde “Industrial gas safety”. A range of potential physical, chemical & health hazards when dealing with gases are identified, including toxicity, flammability, asphyxiation, oxygen deficiency, oxygen enrichment, corrosion, radiation and pressure etc. Risk mitigation methods are also outlined, e.g. appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), leak detection and inventory management. The impact of recent international legislation such as REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances) & GHS (Globally Harmonised System of Classification) are also summarised. Linde’s commitment to customers does not stop with the supply of industrial gases.
Linde also ensures products to meet the highest standards of safety and pro-actively educates customers for their safety.
